For United States Senate, Progressive Brookline encourages you to cast your vote for Senator Ed Markey. 

Senator Markey has long been a progressive champion. He is endorsed by Progressive Mass, and we join the 91% of Progressive Mass members who voted to endorse Markey for re-election.

For Norfolk County District Attorney, Progressive Brookline encourages you to cast your vote for Djuna Perkins. 

We believe that, given her work both as a prosecutor and in private practice, Djuna Perkins has the best professional background to lead the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office. Djuna is committed to bringing real, meaningful change to a troubled office. Djuna’s Blueprint for Justice is a comprehensive platform that explains her holistic approach to the legal system. Her commitment to transparency, focus on equity and justice, and her plans to protect our neighbors from ICE, coupled with her status as an experienced outsider, would bring much-needed change to the District Attorney’s Office. We are proud to join two other Progressive Mass chapters in endorsing Djuna: Progressive Mass West Norfolk County and Neponset Valley Progressives.

We were proud to endorse Djuna in the Democratic primary and to help turn out voters in Brookline. We will be doing the same for the general election.  

Progressive Brookline joins Progressive Mass in encouraging you to vote YES on Question 1 to expand the public records law to cover the Governor and the Legislature. We’re the only state in the country that doesn’t do that already. Let the sunlight in.

Progressive Brookline joins Progressive Mass in encouraging you to vote YES on Question 2 to enable public defenders to collectively bargain. Every worker deserves to have a union, and public defenders, who are often overworked and underpaid, should be no exception. 

Progressive Brookline joins Progressive Mass in encouraging you to vote NO on Question 3 to prevent private equity billionaires from rigging our election system in their favor. Top-two primaries empower corporate PACs and self-funders, disadvantage grassroots candidates, and turn MAGA voters into election kingmakers. 

Progressive Brookline joins Progressive Mass in encouraging you to vote YES on Question 4 to enable voters to register to vote or update their registration on Election Day. No eligible voter should be turned away due to a clerical error, and this reform is one of the most proven ways to increase voter turnout. 

Progressive Brookline joins Progressive Mass in encouraging you to vote NO on Question 5 to protect our state’s ability to invest in health care, transportation, and public education. Billionaires would get to enrich themselves, while the rest of us suffer from underfunded public services. 

Progressive Brookline encourages you to vote YES on Question 6 to create a fund for state money, titled the Nature for All Fund, that would be used to further efforts of nature conservation. 

Progressive Mass did not make an endorsement on this ballot question. 

Progressive Brookline joins Progressive Mass in encouraging you to vote YES on Question 7 to enable more starter homes across the Commonwealth. We have a housing crisis, and large lot size requirements mean fewer homes are able to be built. 

Progressive Brookline joins Progressive Mass in encouraging you to vote NO on Question 8 to protect our state’s cannabis laws. We said NO to the war on drugs back in 2016, and we shouldn’t turn back time and destroy local economies. 

Progressive Brookline joins Progressive Mass in encouraging you to vote YES on Question 9 to protect our state’s landmark gun safety law, which cracked down on ghost guns, banned machine gun conversion devices, and strengthened gun violence data collection.
